Reform UK leader Nigel Farage.Nigel Farage snapped at a TV journalist after being asked to explain a key Reform UK policy.He told Sky News deputy political editor Sam Coates “you can play whatever silly games you want” as he dodged the question on immigration.Farage was responding to Keir Starmer unveiling the government’s plans to slash the number of people coming to the UK from abroad.Reform UK have said they will freeze “non-essential” immigration if they win power at the next election, due in 2029.However, they would offer an “exception” to those who are deemed to have “essential” skills, such as in healthcare. Coates asked Farage if he would cap the number of immigrants allowed to come in on that basis.He replied: “By the time of the next election? We will. I can’t tell you the numbers right now, I don’t have all the figures.“But what I can tell you is anyone who comes in will not be allowed to stay long term. That’s the difference.”Coates then said: “So you are committing to a cap on the numbers of people.”
