Adult pelicans are falling victim to toxic algae bloom. Now their babies are starving, too

Brown pelicans are filling up Southern California wildlife rehabilitation centers as scores of the seabirds have been found sick and starving. Many of the pelicans have been poisoned in a major toxic algae bloom, but dozens of young birds are starving.
