People who have brought skills, talent and passion; who have spent years working long shifts in our hospital corridors or picking the produce that lines our supermarket shelves; who have become our colleagues, our neighbours, and our friends.But what an insult, too, to those of us born in the UK who count migrants as valued members of our communities – and who can see that every day the government spends pursuing a fear-driven anti-migrant agenda is a day lost in making the changes this country desperately needs.
