Hannah Einbinder and Jean Smart in HacksWith just one episode to go on the current season of Hacks, it’s been announced that the comedy will be returning for a fifth run.Creator Paul W Downs – who also plays Jimmy LuSaque, Deborah and Ava’s hapless manager in the hit series – said in a statement on Wednesday: “We feel so lucky that we get to do a fifth season of comedy.“We’re like, it shouldn’t be this way, but we feel really fortunate because it’s so rare. We feel incredibly lucky.”There’s no official word yet on exactly when we can expect season five of Hacks to air, though in the past, the show has tended to release new episodes every year, meaning we can probably expect it in 2026.However, the news isn’t necessarily all good, as it’s also worth pointing out that Paul previously told The Hollywood Reporter that he intended Hacks to come to an end after its fifth season.
